I think that since it is the same emoji, why not merge both emojis together?

Because Scratch only supports a limited set of characters, they could make a Scratch Cat version of this, similar to what they did with other emojis. If you don't already know about them you can learn about them here: https://en.scratch-wiki.info/wiki/Scratch_Emojis

Please don’t derail the topic ; for off-topic discussions, it’s best to do it on profiles or studios. Sometimes, a little off topic note perhaps in small tags that’s not meant to become into a conversation may be okay though.
