nintendo in 2020: while you're stuck inside, have some limited time games and sales since you are going to be on the switch the whole year and you will feel pressured for new content hehehehehehe
nintendo in 2021: actually listens to the community and releases a new metroid and better top 100
nintendo in 2022: what if we drop every mainline game sequel onto the switch at one time for no reason part 2?
nintendo in 2023: let's kinda sorta release other things but forget those let's drop the money making games too

If Metroid Prime 4 is gonna be on the next console only then I am going to be very betrayed and quite angry, because my dad and I both anticipated this game since the day it was announced, and he possibly even bought a Switch to play Metroid Prime 4.

Maybe it could be for both? I mean… Zelda Twilight Princess had a Gamecube release, Wii release and a Wii U release later.

pikmin 4 already turns my switch into a space heater so I can't imagine what prime 4 will do

Me and my dad think they're going to BOTW it and release on launch for both. I don't think it's going to be released anytime AFTER the new console is out. Plus, Nintendo probably knows that people in your dad's situation are a plenty. They know they have to release a Switch version.

I just saw this, and honestly, I disagree. I do see where you are coming from. I have both Wii U and Switch versions of BOTW and the Wii U version runs like me after a McDonald's breakfast. It can take a minute, but you will get there in the end. I wonder if the Switch to New Console will be the same. The Switch version is still great but a bit slow and laggy. Although my Model 1 Switch is showing its age. Just an hour and a half of Splatoon 3 can nuke it down to a sad 43% compared to 64% in 2 hours with older games.

I've never personally played it, but probably Splatoon. If you're gonna want to play online, I'm pretty sure there's Pretendo servers up.
I've played Splatoon 2 and 3, and they're both great games imo.

I never played it for a long time, only once did I get to, and that was little as 5-10 mins of gameplay.

I wonder if they'll port Nintendo Land to Switch or it's successor. That would TOTALLY break the internet for sure.

My switch runs Pikmin 4 quite well so maybe MP4 on the switch is possible.
Splatoon 2 on the other hand…..

I'm sure if they release it and it does have those issues, there's always optimization. As we know, if Nintendo wants something to run on their consoles, they optimize the heck out of it. Also, I'm guessing if something runs poorly, it's either from hardware age or there's dust build-up in the fan. That'll really throttle the performance. My Switch's fan makes a louder than usual noise, so I'll probably check on that myself soon.

The idea Fusion will be the new name is actually kind of neat. But it might just be the codename… We usually find out the codename before the real name. Like Dolphin, Revolution, NX. (I remember being hyped the next console was NX, kept up on all the news about it and probably annoyed my whole family cause I couldn't stop talking about how neat it was. XD)
