1. Why can't you view other's profiles?
2. How will they receive help if needed?
3. Not everyone has Canvas. You can also just not register with an email account.
4. What is the harm of following?

This isn't worth the trouble if you can just use the offline editor, or don't use an email address, as this will be costly?

I do not see how the fifth restriction doesn't violate not only the Terms of Use and Community Guidelines, but also the law- all Scratch projects are licensed under CC-BY-SA 2.0, which among other things allows remixing. To disable this you would be violating the rights of students who want to remix projects- which could get you sued by the project creator. Furthermore, there are many educational projects that are commonly remixed- for example, one made by Google for their CS course(s) is among the most remixed projects on Scratch, with over 200,000 remixes. Those remixing it tend to be students and teachers.
