How long does it take for the Scratch Team to reply to an e-mail you've sent them?
I had a question about Scratch that I sent an e-mail about a month and a half ago. 1 month and 14 days ago, they sent me an e-mail confirming that the question I had about Scratch. Can someone tell me if the average wait time longer or faster than this? I know there is a possibility that is got stuck in the endless abyss of e-mails they have, but it'd be nice to know how long does the normal Scratcher have to wait.

One time I sent an email and got a response right the next day, and one time I sent an email and received no response, ever. There's really no telling when the Scratch Team will respond to your email!

Me, I got a response a few days, maybe less, saying that they'd received my e-mail, and a bit later they actually responded… a week later, maybe? I can't remember.

Was this an appeal message, or a general help question?

This is more of a help question, Well, to me it is. I just am worried that I'll have to try and remember what the question was and send it back. I have an answer for approximately 1 week and 3-5 days, and that sounds a little realistic in my opinion, so I know I probably have to resend an e-mail. As long as I get an answer I am fine with in these forums, I'm happy enough to close the topic. Was this an appeal message, or a general help question?

Eh, Paddle2See told me that there should be a close button once the topic has been up for 24 hours, and I still don't see it, so I said as soon as I can!Me, I got a response a few days, maybe less, saying that they'd received my e-mail, and a bit later they actually responded… a week later, maybe? There are two things to keep in mind:This is more of a help question, Well, to me it is. I just am worried that I'll have to try and remember what the question was and send it back. I have an answer for approximately 1 week and 3-5 days, and that sounds a little realistic in my opinion, so I know I probably have to resend an e-mail. (1) The Help message gets an awful lot e-mail coming in, so it takes a while for the ST to go through them all.
(2) When a help question comes in, a default automatic message is sent with links to sources where you can find some answers, the default message also states “Running the Scratch website keeps us very busy, so we’re not able to respond to all the messages we receive.” The point being that, if the ST member who got your message finds that the answer to your question can probably be more easily obtained through another source they'll probably mark the ticket as resolved and move onto tackling the other hundred or so e-mails coming in.
I did a bit of digging, and from what I see, the last e-mail you sent in (which was about a month ago) was about you having a new account and wanting it to get Scratcher status much faster. It got closed because it's a pretty generic question that can be easily answered by asking around or browsing the forums.

I thought you were talking about the topic I made. I feel so stupid! But thanks! Maybe having an automated e-mail sent when you reject a message will help clear up confusion over this! You caught me with that message just as I was going to close the topic! I feel bad about your forum signature, though. It's so sad that small, evil, citrus fruits do this to forum signatures. I will attempt at having a better question next time, instead of using a genericly generic question. = DThere are two things to keep in mind:This is more of a help question, Well, to me it is.
