How Does Reporting Work?
Lately I have been seeing people get banned over false reports, most people think it is a jealous person or a 5-year-old, but they really say, “How does it work?”
when you report it will say something like “this has been reported to the scratch team” then it will send but false reporting is when somebody did nothing wrong but still got banned/muted etc., and if there is nothing wrong why did the scratch team choose to ban or do whatever they did? I really need an answer because it is coming to the point where my some of my friends are gone and it's not fun to be on here when all there is, is arguing and reporting

How Does Reporting Work?
So this is how the it works. If one is to report someone or something, it is sent to the Scratch Team who then “take the appropriate action.” They then, either from the report or from themselves, give the user either an alert or even a ban if they also deem it “inappropriate.” Scratchers can also mass report a project, resulting in it being taken down. The only allowable way to recover from a ban (specifically a permanent ban) is to use Contact Us.
Also, your question about why they choose to ban/mute from a false report is slightly inaccurate. If it is falsely mass reported, it will be temporarily taken down, but it will eventually be restored by the Scratch Team after review if a false report.
