Support. It would make it easy for New Scratchers to add a thumbnail, and also make it much easier to for Scratchers

So… basically scratch-paint being converted to bitmap automatically and uploaded to the servers. Shouldn't be too hard to do, since scratch-paint already has download features, so it would just get the file it would normally download and send a HTTP request to Scratch's servers to change the studio thumbnail, with that file attached rather than an uploaded one.

Just checked the suggester's profile, they seem to be inactive.

I support this. I think it would be nice to just have a thumbnail editor right there. That way I don't have to go through the trouble of downloading things.

imo the OP’s mockup seems more clean. The black text doesn’t really fit

Anyway i need a way to set thumbnails that isn’t by a bookmark or the ghost effect code so this is a good idea honestly

Black Text? I thought the mockup was exactly what they wanted? Two options upload file and open “Scratch Canvas”

If only the OP was active so they could explain the suggestion more.

Ok, let me get this straight.

You click “Edit Thumbnail” on one of your studios.

Then this menu pops up:

If you click Scratch Canvas, it will open up a blank sheet for the user to make their thumbnail, like the OP said.

Would the editor look something like this:

Yeah! The backpack will be in it too. It will just hide sounds, and other things that are not sprite/costume things.

I really like this idea, it’s quite Scratch-y, and shouldn’t be too technically hard to implement, as long as it’s done well. it could even be extended to support profile pictures, etc.
