i think I had Hot Pursuit and there was this mode where you could drive around the city to just explore and I remember liking that mode more than the rest of the game

Also, i tried the original 3do game(on emulator). it looks more like a simulation racer than a arcade racer, is very boring too. The Saturn and PS1 versions are much better.

“I have the need for speed!”Safety doesn't apply when you are street racing in Need For Speed. Not just a driving simulator, a STREET RACING simulator! it's better, trust me.
“Yes, but I have the nafety for safety.”
is this a driving simulator game?
EDIT: to clarify i meant better than average driving simulators

The original 3DO game was an average driving simulator. Fortunately, the Saturn and PS1 versions are now street racing simulators, they are 100000 times more fun.“I have the need for speed!”Safety doesn't apply when you are street racing in Need For Speed. Nitro for the DS was underrated. On a similar note. Underground 2 was overrated

Sure, they are still pretty good, but nowhere near the “masterpieces” everyone says they are.

Nitro was pretty underrated, but how was Underground 2 overrated? I thought Underground 2 was pretty forgotten nowadays, but I guess I understand. I liked UG2 for it's customization abilities, it's incredible that that many options are available, but I hated UG2 for it's Nitro for the DS was underrated. On a similar note. Underground 2 was overratedHORRIBLE loading times. MW takes about 1 second to load back to the open world, UG2 takes like 15! Though I have UG2 for the PS2. and MW for GC, if that makes a difference. I think it does…
Heat sounds amazing, but I don't have it. I'm relieved that they finally disabled the roulette part thing from the past 2 NFS games, and also made it 95% offline compatible! I'm a Need for Speed Heat guy. I also love Most Wanted (2012). I feel like the latter is underrated.
MW2012 is mediocre, it's a bit buggy, but playable. It's now an outcast from the series. I felt it was more of a Burnout title, and probably would have sold more if it was.
I somewhat agree. I think the Underground era is very overhyped.
Sure, they are still pretty good, but nowhere near the “masterpieces” everyone says they are.
UG2 was a bit disappointing for me, race wise. The cars, world, customization, were all great! But I felt UG2 had a bit of a grinding problem.
UG1 is still really good! The rubberbanding, not.
But MW is still amazing.
IMO I believe Hot Pursuit 2 is WAY TOO underrated now, it's a blast! Especially the PS2 version.
I also felt The Run is a bit underrated, but I understand why it was shunned. The "action" sequences are horrible!
nice niko pfp btwalso thanks

I think it does…IMO it was the loading times + game crashes. Maybe it’s not used to super Windows 10 crazy operating systems but UG2 crashed. A lot. The customisation, I’ll give you that one. The customisation options for my little ricer Peugeot were many, and I think MW actually did worse in terms of customisation, in terms of ricing up a Punto. Worse, but only by a small margin

Maybe it’s not used to super Windows 10 crazy operating systems but UG2 crashed.“crazy operating system.” Well, on PS2, my copy, it sometimes crashes on the loading screen, but It rarely does, and I think it was because I used to have a scratched disc, now I don't. But MY GOD DOES IT LOAD! Especially going back to the open world. I think it's just that it was the series first time, MW made it like 500% faster.

I have Need For Speed Rivals and I'm thinking about buying NFS Hot Pursuit 2010, but I heard it's quite similar to NFS Rivals so I'm wondering if you guys think it's worth buying when I already have Rivals.
