who made the save points?im not sure, maybe the power is limited to specific areas? i don't know if one specific person made it
why can't you save everywhere why do you have to use save points, like since saving is canon with determination why are there specific save points( I'm talking of more of a lore perspective than a game design)

Took me forever but I finally found the Undertale Scratch topic lol…
Anyway, I recently bought Undertale and I've completed all 3 main routes of the game. I'm planning to get all 93 endings, has anyone here tried that?

who made the save points?I was actually thinking about this the other day. Flowey is the only one who even mentions save points at all, and even he only mentioned one that is supposedly in the flowers at the beginning of the Ruins (where the humans landed after they fell down). Flowey is also able to save at the Barrier in Neutral routes and Frisk/Chara/the player is able to save there in True Pacifist. Obviously, neither of these save points are visible in-game.

All this to say, I'm not sure. I don't think Toby Fox really thought about why the characters can save only at very specific points.

i don't think the explanation is that complicated. you can save in locations that fill you with Determinationwho made the save points?I was actually thinking about this the other day. No no papyrus could its just he holds back when fighting you and the thing is he doesn't even kill you as he's so powerful like even toriel can kill you by accident but papyrus doesn't any ways his special attack could have been really good + sans has 1 hp and like the thing is if there are multiple bones it would be harder to dodge the bones now the thing is there would be no reason for sans and papyrus to fight accept THE SOCK(lol) now the thing is I don't know if human health is relative to monster health as we don't know if like 10 HP of human health means the same thing if it did that would mean that it would talk a longer time to for sans to defeat papyrus but I mean its hypothetical and in the cannon of Undertale its probably impossible unless you consider papyrus goes too far as canon and the thing is neither of them have determination I mean idk maybe they like less determination than humans as sans can dodge but idk if dodging and determination is related, sans was related to the experiments done with determinations in the core so its a possibility but I wouldn't think sans had determination neither papyrus so papyrus solos“I’m not falling for that (POOP)!” Papyrus could solo sans any day

Based on stats alone, Papyrus has 20 ATK 20 DEF and Sans only has 1 ATK 1 DEF, so Papyrus could easily win in theory. However, Sans has (weak) time manipulation powers and the ability to dodge. Sans gave up on trying to fight the human because he knew he could never really win because of the human's determination, but I think he would be able to win against Papyrus because most monsters have no DT. But who knows, maybe Papyrus's spaghetti had DT injected into it or something. Papyrus could solo sans any day

sans when dodging then human is dodging knife swings which are easier to avoid than if papyrus had a bunch of bonesBased on stats alone, Papyrus has 20 ATK 20 DEF and Sans only has 1 ATK 1 DEF, so Papyrus could easily win in theory. Here's the super short version: Monsters have been trapped in the underground for who knows how long, and they need the power of 7 human souls to break the magical Barrier that keeps them there. The monsters already have 6 souls, so they just need one more… the soul of the human that you control. Ok, I want to play undertale but I probably wouldn’t be able to get it, and I don’t feel like playing :p

The ending you get depends heavily on your actions throughout the game.
