Horror Games Ok.
Scratch is 8 to 12 RECOMMENDED, but people older (and some younger) use it. You see yes horror games are scary, but really scratch? Scratch is 8+ + meaning UP! So 20 year olds aree on scratch and no horror games? Thats messed up. If Scratch is for EVERYONE than Horror games need to be allowed. After all just because a 6 year old or an 8 year old gets scared a little (ok maybe a lot I guess), you can't just take it down. It's unfair. It should depend on HOW scary the game is, FNAF Scary than it stays, but blooody, sure take it down. But don't take dpown EVERY SINGLE HORROR GAME YOU SEE!!!

Horror games lead to nightmares for some kids, and then we have a situation where a parent gets mad at Scratch and sues them. Also, content on Scratch should be for all ages. Have you ever seen a horror movie ranked PG?

horror games should be allowed but force them to be as tame as possible no jumpscares or blood or anything else that will cause kids nightmares

I am pretty mild horror games are allowed if they do not have any of these:
Which elements are considered inappropriate according to the Scratch Community Guidelines?
Graphic Content: Depictions or audio that emulate weapons, gore, or violence.
Intense Themes: Serious or scary topics.
Vulgarity: Disrespectful or mature language.
Jumpscares: Startling images that abruptly flash on the screen.

I compared, to prove that horror is not suitable for children, because if it was, horror movies would get rated PG.

Fallacy, not everyone is you. I get scared when I watch horror movies and I am almost 13. And there are still 8,9,10,11 year Olds that could be scared.

Just because you don't get scared, doesn't mean 6-8 year olds won't.STILL, I watched horror moviesa, I'm only 12, and never got scaredthis is horror games not horror movies. (#1)I'd like to object.
Scratch is 8+ + meaning UP
8+? Please, cite your source.
The community guidelines contradict you.
all ages, (…)EDIT: AKA. Your suggestion cannot work, and it's already been long technically rejected We welcome people of here. And that also cites All Ages.
Why not implement an age appropriateness rating system on Scratch?EDIT2: i just noticed this
Everything shared in our community should be appropriate for all ages. Any type of age restriction by the Scratch Team, community members, or creators isn’t aligned with this philosophy.
(#1)alright by that logic lets allow every illegal activity too. Yes, insane comparison, but that's the logic you just used.
Thats messed up. If Scratch is for EVERYONE than Horror games need to be allowed.
The “everyone” is meant in terms of content — Even if the ToU specifies that users may find content that breaks the guidelines and that the ST take no responsibility, it's an explanation of what the site strives to be. Not that it intends to appease everyone on the planet (that is clearly an impossible task).

Incorrect. If Scratch is for EVERYONE than Horror games need to be allowed.
By your logic, [insert thing] needs to be allowed because there are people who would like it on the website. It doesn't matter what the thing actually is- it could be inappropriate and illegal or generic platformers. This is a logical fallacy- you are confusing what you want with what the Scratch community needs.
Ever wonder what movie ratings stand for? “G” stands for “General Audiences”. That means that it's appropriate for everyone- a 3-year-old can watch it. The same logic applies to Scratch- it has to be appropriate for the youngest members using it. Considering that according to the Statistics page there are 200,000 registered people who are using Scratch that are 4 years old- the ST has to make sure that they website is appropriate for them. The fact is, the majority of Scratchers are under 16- and content needs to be appropriate for all of them, not just those above a certain age range.

Well everything on scratch has to be appropriate for all ages, also there are many other types of fun games that ain’t horror. So horror games are not allowed but you can make games that are not horror but are still fun to play.

Kids get scared easily.
When I was younger, like much younger when I sleeped in the same room as my parents, the room had a lot of windows and reflective stuff so I think I would be scared of a certain creepy pasta monster which is associated with mirrors. I would literally also be scared of hello neighbor, I think my brother used to take me into a room and say hello neighbor is coming or something to scare me ☠️
So, no support, let’s not give little Timmy nightmares

Wait a second, don't they already allow this, but with mild horror aspects involved? I'm pretty sure that Paddle or someone on the ST told someone before that the project for the horror genre should not have huge amounts of blood or anything that gives kids on here nightmares.
