Are there any dead projects?
By dead, I mean deleted/nonexistent ones like https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/103/ which take you to an error screen. What were they?
Please answer this.

Are there any dead projects?
They were probably tests to test code like this:
to make sure it worked.

Makes sense, but the devs of Scratch would already know if it worked or not. They were probably tests to test code like this:to make sure it worked.

Are there any dead projects?
OP might have made it too obvious…
I heard that there were projects before Weekend (the most likely answer if you ask what the first project is), however I don't quite have a source and not sure if it's confirmed. I would have assumed they were testing projects (although not to test code, they probably could've done that on an unshared project) much like account ID 1.

But it's not impossible that they needed to test the project system, and see how it handles. That's likely what projects 1-103 are for, although it's possible some of the ones with higher IDs were made by people (probably @mres and @andresmh) for whatever purpose and were later taken down or unshared (like Weekend keeps being taken down, and in this one particular case, reshared- because it has a face reveal before face reveals weren't allowed, and precise location sharing, something that existed down to the city/town you lived in back in 1.x). Rare occasion when @Paddle2See is wrong /ji know its my own alt but its a speculation. Hence the word “probably”. You answered your own question?
Still, you can include your speculation in your original post- you don't need to make three (unless you ran into the forum character limit of 200,000, but if you're at 200,000 characters, then what are you writing? A book?)
