import online project into offline editor
Hello,
Is there a way to import online project (2.0) into the Offline Editor (Scratch 2 beta) please?
Several projects were created online but some presentations will need to be performed offline…
I tried shift-click on File in the Offline Editor but there is nothing hidden…
Thanks.

Go into the online editor and click on the file menu. Choose export to my computer, then save it somewhere, close your internet browser, and open the offline editor. I hope this helps!

Hi,
Related question: I saved an offline scratch project to my USB, and it worked, but when putting it in my computer at home (which uses online Scratch), it didn't work! And it won't work the other way either. Any answers?

What specifically happened when it didn't work? And what version of the offline editor are you using?

it said “do you want this file to be opened onto what's available to you?” or something like that. and then when I clicked yes, it said the file didn't exist. Does that make sense to you? And the offline one - I think it's 2.0. It's on a laptop and it's the school's so I can't check it right now.

It says specifically:
Windows can't open this file:
File: Harry Potter in 99 Seconds.sb2
To open this file, Windows needs to know what program you want to use to
open it. Windows can go online to look it up automatically, or you can manually
select from a list of programs that are installed on your computer.
What do you want to do?
- Use the Web service to find the correct program
- Select a program from a list of installed programs
and then I choose the first choice, and it opens up on FireFox

Oh, I've had that problem before. The ‘web service’ option rarely works in any circumstances, because those file associations are already on your computer by default. What do you want to do?

You need to open it again, but choose the second option. Click browse if Scratch is not already listed, then find either of these depending on your OS:
C: /Program Files/Scratch 2/Scratch 2.exe
C: /Program Files (x86)/Scratch 2/Scratch 2.exe
