Ok, well, let’s just reject this, this will make private messaging inevitable.

I rest well knowing that Scratch Team won't even consider 99.999999% percent of suggestions.

So, according to what I've observed and heard so far, I think these are the biggest problems we have:
Private messaging - Even if that isn't allowed, people can share info through the editor comments and other workarounds.I really don't have a solution for this (yet)…
Repeated annoying invites - Big problem here, what I think is that you can only invite someone 3 times max (in a row or every other)
For Example…
  • User 1 invites user 2.
  • User 2 declines
  • Repeat 3 times
  • Error message saying that you can't spam requests
or
  • User 1 invites User 2
  • User 2 declines
  • User 1 invites User 3
  • User 3 declines
  • User 1 tries inviting User 2 again (repeat twice)
  • Same error message
Sabotaging the plan - Another big problem here, and I agree with what @Elijah999999 said:

Yes, this is a big one. That is why there needs to be a way to access earlier to recover lost data.

Finding a way to revert a project to an earlier version of save data might be helpful, both in collaboration and non-collab cases. But then again, the ST doesn't have infinite server storage…
What I mean is that the ST's storage might not be enough to save a save project, given the Cloud Data Glitching currently.
————————————————————
That's all I have so far…….
Let's hope that 0.000001% of getting this implemented hits us, and if not… oh well.

Ok, well, in my opinion, the idea is bad.

I think what they mean by “reject” is “no support”.

The trouble is, everybody will see this project while they are collaborating. If you are getting impatient for a big release, you will see the notification and then click it. Then everyone will se the project prematurely. Maybe I just don't understand the purpose of the scratch community.

Nothing in the OP says that the project has to be public. Also, the OP took @Za-Chary's suggestion for the suggestion, and decided that an editor limit of two is best.

May I add to this?
Cons of getting turns: (none)

Sure there are cons: Everybody who is following you sees your project as soon as you publish it. If they are excited enough about it, they will click on it and see it before it's finished. For instance, I'm writing a soundtrack for an animation, and I need to see the animation before it's finished. Unfortunately, everyone knows about this animation and is extremely excited about it.

Especially considering how they STILL HAVEN´T ADDED WEBP IMAGE FILE SUPPORT IN THE COSTUME EDITOR EVEN THOUGH IT WOULD CAUSE LITERALLY 0 ISSUES

edited to be more accurate

It has to be public or it’s rejected

I don’t support in the end, if it’s public, things they want to be private will get spoiled, if it’s private then PRIVATE MESSAGING
There’s not much hope for this, and remixing exists anyways.

I don't think this is very accurate I mean I would love this feature But It would take a lot of scripting for the scratch team because It would have to automatically refresh A WHOLE LOT and that could lead to overloading the page and the game could crash and lose all progress Love this Idea so much though

One person could make a project, the second person could remix it and add what they want to it.
After they add it, the person who first made the project can add the new stuff to the old project, using backpack or saving the project to the device and reuploading.
Scratch already kinda has turn based collabs

I like it, it would make collabs so much easier, one issue posed here was that you would release an unfinished project, just make it that the project doesn't work unless you are one of the collaborator with a if username equals for thw two collabers
