What does “pinging people” on Scratch mean?
“Pinging” typically means @‘ing the user, however scratch doesn’t notify for pings, so the person could maybe mean to notify them in a way that they’d get a notification for it, but it really just depends.

What does “pinging people” on Scratch mean?
Pinging is a word used widely around the internet ; Generally, it meanings @‘ing the user, not messaging them. However, since scratch doesn’t notify for pings it could be possible the the user who says to ping them is asking to notify them in any way. I think it just means replying, or sending a message to that person which they recieve the message.

What does “pinging people” on Scratch mean?
Well pinging people, specifically on scratch, is kinda like this:
A: can i be pinged for the next batch?
B: sure!
B: *releases next batch*
B: *goes to A’s profile and comments “Hello! You’re in my pinglist, so here’s the second batch!”
A receives the comment and knows the second batch is out
Kinda like notifying people of something, but the word “Pinging” is commonly used on the internet, though it doesn’t work the same on scratch (notifying people when they got @‘d, like typing @hydrofungus would give me a notif)
