I think that it would be a good idea to add the original rainbow flag as an option for people who prefer the original rainbow over the progress flag version of it.

There’s a rainbow lgbtq flag, then a rainbow lgbtq flag with the triangle on the site with the poc and trans things

What are the reasons why one might prefer the original Pride flag over the seemingly-more-inclusive Progress flag?

I feel the pride flag we have now is much better at representing LGBTQ+ than the standard rainbow flag. I associate the purely rainbow flag with homosexuality which obviously doesn't include transgender (me), non-binary, etc individuals. The little arrow to me says that it's referring to everyone.

They might just think the progress(ive??) version is too complicated, or that the original already represents and includes everyone.

Saying the progress flag is more-inclusive implies that the rainbow flag is less inclusive, when in actuality, it really isn't. Whilst the progress flag does do it more explicitly, including black, brown, light blue, pink, and white, I don't think that means it's “more inclusive.” The rainbow colors of the flag already represent a spectrum, that spectrum that really be of anything; no mater what, the rainbow flag is supposed to represent you.
Also, the Progress flag has a bit too much going on, at least in my opinion.

The original has always been considered an umbrella in my experience.
And, more importantly, it can be more accessible if they allow users to use the original. Not saying that the progress flag is bad, but it wasn't designed for the resolution of an emoji. Rather, it was designed for a much, much larger resolution. In a smaller size, it's just over crowded. Maybe the ST could add in a trans flag as well, in case a user wants to use both flags, but not the progress flat, for the same issue I have stated.

i just tried it out and it looks… fine in my opinion tbh?
and i don’t think adding just a trans flag *apple emojis flashback* is a great idea because. people will want THEIR flags too y’know?

Some people, such as myself, find the progress flag’s design to be a bit over designed. There’s too many colors in it which is overwhelming to some people, and many just don’t like the design as much due to the extra colors.
Some people also claim that the progress flag is implying that the original rainbow flag didn’t include black and trans people in it, when the original was meant to represent the whole spectrum of the LGBTQ community.
I think that both flags should be added so that people can use the one that they prefer!

Simply adding other “umbrella” flags, more specific flags, would solve said problem.
I'm not saying everyone experiences it. I'm saying that some people, I included, find it overstimulating

Some people believe that the original flag is an umbrella for all of lgbtq+, including trans people. While others believe it isn’t inclusive to trans people. Just putting this here for those confused why someone would want this flag.
