So you know how there is ranks like “New Scratcher” and “Scratcher”. I don't really care that i'm a scratcher I just like to make games but when my friends were New Scratchers they were trying really hard to become Scratcher. As I said I don't really care what rank i'm at. I was happy when I became scratcher so i could use cloud data, but that's really it. I just have a suggestion that I think could make lots of people more active and more motivated. So if you want lots of people, add another rank like Master Scratcher, Super Scratcher or something like that. That rank would be hard to get. You would need to have lots of followers or be active. I think that would make lots more people active. This is just a suggestion. Of course some people would not really care. Oh and another thing that you could fix is, when I type Scratcher that red line goes under it and says that it is incorrect.

The point of “New scratcher” is to help identify that they're new, not their rank. Having master scratcher or so on would just add a competition to become better.

Absolute zero support if it involved the amount of followers. F4F will skyrocket… and I know of good Scratchers with few followers.

Scratch is not about followers, it's about learning to program. The idea of followers was to allow people to be able to know the activities of the people they like.

The Scratcher rank does more than make you use cloud data!

Sorry, but no support, master scratcher and super scratcher status' wouldnt be such a problem if all the scratchers in our community were mature, but unfortunately, some arnt, or are too young and will think it a competition. Maybe we could have ‘scratch mentor’ for those who mentor studios and forums, or wiki contributor but nothing that may make people think it's a competition.

No support. I think the post counter is already a good indicator of experience. I suggest that it should go above 1k

No support the Scratch team will be inundated with emails demanding promotion.
Also everyone will just try to copy famous scratchers even more. Your idea asks the scratch team to abolish the already tenuous equality and creativity that they so promote.

If you have to be famous to get Master Scratcher, then no support. New Scratcher was only to stop spam, and someone could do:

15. Add a rank above Scratcher or remove the New Scratcher status
There are three ranks: New Scratcher, Scratcher, and Scratch Team. The only reason the New Scratcher rank exists is to prevent spam, and since it only takes two weeks to become a Scratcher, bullying and separation is rather minimal. Similarly, the Scratch Team rank exists so users know who is on the Scratch Team; generally, Scratch Team members do not brag about the Scratch Team rank. In contrast, there may be division in the community between Scratchers and those with a higher rank, which could also lead to bragging and bullying.
Although the restrictions for New Scratchers may seem annoying, they are extremely effective against spam and inappropriate content. For New Scratchers who are wondering how to become a Scratcher or what it means to be one, check out this post.
This is OFFICIALLY REJECTED by the Scratch Team. That's equivalent to ALL of the Scratch Team members saying “no support”.

This is rejected, yes. It's also a 4 year old thread. Please don't bump threads just to say you don't support them - they're no longer relevant.
