Musical Theatre?
I mean Ani's in it for three and a half more months, get up hereOh wow, that's a pretty eloquent review. Now I wish I'd seen it myself. The two greatest theatrical experiences of my life in no particular orderJust saw Hadestown and Merrily on Broadway yesterdayHow were they?
I haven't written up my thoughts on Merrily yet but here's what I thought of the cast of Hadestown– there's other amazing aspects too of course but this is the big reason to go see it right now:

Lost my role (Grimsby in The Little Mermaid) to a guy that doesn’t know what beats are. The song he had to sing at callbacks was literally in 2/4 time. He spoke it with his mediocre British accent.

Granted, I'm a bit full of myself at some auditions, so maybe they're trying to tell me something.

Oof. Musicals are so competitive ;-; But hey, you’re self aware, so that’s good! I just hate that the person I was referring to was so arrogant saying that “Oh, you’re not gonna get the role,” and I ended up getting ensemble for the third time. My casting director is kinda bad lolLost my role (Grimsby in The Little Mermaid) to a guy that doesn’t know what beats are. The song he had to sing at callbacks was literally in 2/4 time. It's mostly for Jr shows. When I'm auditioning for shows with adults, I'm not cocky about it. But I expect good roles in kids' shows cause I'm sixteen.Oof.
