Make the 'Scratch' shortcut in the editor openable in new tab

I want to be able to return to the website in a new tab while editing a project, not a giant vector “SCRATCH!” jumpscare. This is annoying, please fix.

Can't you just open a new tab and then type in s and then the autofill will fill out scratch?

But support

The link in the second image is pointing to, well, an image, so doing this would not take you back to scratch.mit.edu

It's a thing with JS that makes it redirect when clicked. Could it just be made to use a normal anchor (<a>) link?

Usually on my Mac I can use Command + Click to open things in a new tab. But if I try it on this particular Scratch logo, it takes me to scratch.mit.edu in the same tab (effectively leaving the editor).

Can do the same.
The difference seems to be quite simple, outside the editor, the logo uses href:

However, in the editor, it uses an onClick event:

Atleast from what I can tell, the onClick event is the redirect. I'm probably heavily wrong, though.
