I've been itching to find 3d scratch blocks but have only been disappointed over and over again. I feel like scratch is beginning to lose loads of coders that are now starting to look for a more 3d based block code engine but aren't able to find one. This gives scratch a chance to go big. Blocks that add in cameras, camera angles, 3d model imports and the ability to hide the mouse would be so helpful for FPS games, it would also help if scratch had an option to change the size of the game screen for a full screen effect and add servers for online games rather than only using one screen. Now i know that people have still made 3d games in the past but they have used thousands of blocks that just make it more difficult and not worth the effort. but by implementing these ideas would be game changing.

Scratch is a programming language designed for beginners. If you would like to take the next step towards 3d games, you can try using a game engine and a scripting language such as C# or GDScript. If you want to do it on Scratch, you can create simple 3d games with pen and mathematics.

Scratch is supposed to be simple and easy to use, 3D blocks would make scratch more complex, and might be confusing for people who are new to programming. There are alternatives to scratch which allow you to make 3D projects easily. Also, please post suggestions on the suggestions forum instead.

And You can swap from Coding with Blocks or Typing Code

Scratch is based on JavaScript so if this is real, you would have to learn JS code.

you know… even though i do agree that 2D is a lot easier for beginners, sometimes i wonder if a 3D extention would work well, like how many beginner scratchers dont know how to use the pen tool, but later on it can be very useful, after they have learned most of the basic blocks
