A feature to filter out remixes when using search for project's would be a super helpful addition, and if this were to be added then there would also presumably be a filter for just remixes and whatever else.

This would make it easier to find original games, for example: If you wanted to find some paper minecraft style games, when searching paper minecraft the vast majority of projects are remixes of griffpatches project. This goes for most remakes of popular games.

By letting users choose to filter remixes out of the results this allows for more original and unique projects to be found easier.

In conclusion, I think this addition would bring great value to the search page and would be a very useful feature that I am sure many scratchers would appreciate.

How would this deal with remixes which the original project has been unshared?

Those would stay then I guess?
Maybe scratch still knows they are remixes, I don't know how it works in the background.

They do know it is a remix, if you go to a remixtree of a remix where the original is deleted, it will say the original was deleted.

This is kinda already implemented if the remixed project was marked NFE.
