Half a year ago at this point, i told skood that i would be able to host the next installment of Scratch Origins 2. I had, (and still do have) a old hp laptop 8/16 GB ram (more than enough to host a minecraft server, although a little slow), skood obviously accepted and around 2 weeks later sent everyone a modpack containing a ton of mods, MANY more than on SO1 (over 50 total). I had expected no more than 10, the origins mod itself, maybe a expansion for the origins mod, and some other miscellanious mods. Instead i got a huge modpack that barely functions on singleplayer, after hearing nothing back from skood after telling him that it wouldnt work, i simply thought that he would address it later during summer.

When summer rolled around, SE4 was doing well, it was the most active server since the original scratch empires, and there was no reason for there to be a competitor server, that would only limit both of the servers lifespan. Towards the end of the summer i started to get asked when so2 was coming, i always told them that i had no idea myself, and that interest for the server actually seemed too low. At this point i had three options:

A: Start the server without further testing or fixes, this would have limited the total players that could be on the server, and not to mention balance issues and bugs making it not fun to play on.

B: Ask skood, the only reason i didnt do this is just because i thought that he was also being asked the same thing, at this point i had also suspected that he had lost interest as a whole.

C: Stall, this was what i did for another month before i began to realize that i was now the de facto owner of scratch origins, skood clearly did not have enough interest to be the owner of so2.

After a month of stalling, i decided that so2 was not going to fix itself, some of the mods were barely even compatible with each other, so i began trimming some off. I didnt inform anyone else about this because i didnt even know who had the programming experience to help me. I decided that modifying every mod would take too long and that was time i didnt really feel like putting into it, i had never really cared about scratch origins (i didnt play on the first server), i had expected to only have to host the server, not completely fix and build it. I instead looked for plugin based alternatives of the mods that skood used, the plugin version for the origins mod works just as well, if not better, than the mod version. I experimented with 1.8.9 style combat only because it would be much easier to balance, and some of the plugins were made specifically for 1.8.9 combat (its better if you actually get good and learn how to play with it.). I had never even changed any of the original modpack and i had done this all in two hours, but when i told everyone that, they didnt like it (like i said if you think that boring 1.9 combat is better thats just a skill issue but whatever im good at both.), so i decided to revert back to 1.9 combat. Again this was no big deal it was just moving a single plugin outside of the server folder.

Everyone was satisfied with this, getting that feedback was nice. For some reason skood still didnt like this even after i told everyone that i wouldnt put 1.8.9 combat on the server. Skood still wanted to be in control of everything about the server, i offered to completely remove all the plugin alternatives to mods, even then skood still said that i needed to communicate more, despite everyone thinking that he just didnt care about the server anymore, and he also confirmed this recently:

Not up bc of mild drama pertaining to me and 5_g on top of the fact that I could not care less about this server as I have 100x more important things to care about

Skood proceeded to ban me from the so2 gaming chat app server and told everyone that he had done nothing despite him never doing anything for the server after putting together the original modpack. I was his only host and his other alternative was to use aternos (yes really he decided to use aternos instead).

So what went wrong?:

1. My computer was sub par for hosting the server to begin with
The only reason that i asked to host the server is because skood had no other options, so2 just wouldnt have happened without me, if someone had volunteered their better computer i would have allowed them to host it instead immediely.

2. Skood was a bad leader
Skood never tried to fix the server after i had told him that it didnt work, as i had said earlier i had just assumed that he was putting it off until later because he had better things to do, just like me, we had planned to start it at summer, but when se4 started i instead said that it will start when se4 died, when this did start to happen there was still zero leadership from skood

3. Team? What team?
Skood said that he was kicking me off the so2 “team” despite the fact that we were the only ones who had touched the code for the mods that he was using. and some of them werent even open source so i was forced to just remove those, even if skood had gotten more people he couldnt have been a good enough leader

What should have happened?
I should have started the server long ago just using the origins mod and nothing else, at most the same modpack from so1, anything else would have required a ton of effort that i never wanted to put in (i was just supposed to be the host) and that skood was supposed to do if he actually wanted a heavily modded so2, not just vanillia+.

can anyone give me something i should use as a logo or banner?

To answer your questions, I believe the modpack will be on curseforge, I think skood and nova made it, and idk about forge technical stuffs

I made it myself, I had nova with me because I thought he hosted so1 lmao

wait, so the origins are enderian, elytrian, arachnid, merling, blazeborn, shulk, phantom, avian, and feline right? or is there any additional origins not in the main origins mod?
