Like I said on a dupe, this is unnecessary. Bias only happens if the user is on one side, post count is not really a factor. Also, something I'm adding to this one is that spam doesn't happen because of this, like others said. If you see spam, report it.
EDIT: There was one user called something like @SmartyMcSmart or something that would only say NO SUPPORT on suggestions. all of their posts are now dust binned because of it. This is an example to help prove my point.

Yeah I don't think this is really necessary. If someone's just spamming their way to 1000+ posts or whatever, that's on them, not on the ST for keeping this feature.

Alright, if it really happens so often, show me 10 example and link the posts. I only saw spam on the forums once.
And, it shows the exact number for me…

Post count, however, can be used as far more than a statistic / trophy. If someone has more posts you would think they've got more experience on the forums / site and, in QaS, could be a more reliable answer than “-Wednesdxy-” with 10 posts and an ultra Gen Z vocabulary full of abbreviations, tone tags and “idk-”s, “um bye-”s and “^^” s.

probs best not to discriminate based on post count, mkay? no cap, there are literally SO many people in the forums with less than 100 posts who are like SUPER good at answering stuff even if they have quirky/unique text styles!!! … and i see many users with 1000+ posts that just aren't reliable at all
so maybe the post count shows approx. experience but it;s definitely not accurate 110% of the time. /srsidk if u were serious but i just wanted to let you know ^^;

Yes, discrimination bad. But what I promote is just a rule of thumb and I do not endorse giving more credibility to people with one extra zero in their number. Note that I specifically typed the word “Could” because there are exceptions to this.
Though, to check, you can observe one's profile and interaction with the community. If someone's comment section is filled with links to the person's post and a complaint about them I'd wait a bit more for other people to answer me.
You could say the same thing about posts with videos about eating cyanide but with very high rating, most likely by clover site trolls.
About the writing styles : I probably exagerated, but I believe that writing in quirky hyeroglyphs is far less effective than writing coherent sentences with punctuation, exact spelling and stuff.

And I see it often but from newer forumers and a lot of it is dustbinned (also my device refuses to copy and paste links so yeah).

No support.
I like the idea of a count. It shows how long someone has been on this website.
I mean, like, Im in awe sometimes when I see a 1000+ forum user. That's a lot of posts. I can't possibly imagine reaching that number.
Also, its not the cause of forum spam. And to be honest, the rankings are just funny little numbers.

But I like my 500+ post count
But, it can bring a lot of pride and/or smiles to people. I'm happy I reached 500+ posts. It also kinda shows if the user is experienced or not, kinda-ish maybe a bit. Again, it can be a goal. I try to make my posts as constructive as possible. If somebody is spamming as “quick” as they can, just ask them to stop, or report them. That easy.

I like it because it can show the recency of a user, and how familiar they are to the forum, which helps us decide what language to use (dupe and others)

Usually, forum spam is from new forumers who just discovered the forums and don't know how to use them. If they are on the forums long enough, they will get how the forums work and likely become a normal forumer. However, forum post counts do cause people to be hasty to get more posts, which can cause people to be unconstructive but this gets corrected after awhile. Usually their post count tells how reliable that scratcher is so removing this could make spreading misinformation even easier since they will just assume you are reliable.

No support, what if a new forumer didn't know who was experienced like this example.
Let's say a Scratcher called Scratcher5 asks the best way to add color scanning in HwS, and someone called 115me with one post sends a short answer, and then a user with 500 plus posts gives a detailed explanation, but the post counts aren't visible on vanilla (unmodified) scratch, and they go with the short 1 post user?

No support, people should learn to act appropriately in public spaces. Not have everything fitted to their needs.
