Basically, invite all followers button is rejected. So, I was thinking about a solution for this, and think I have one that may work. (Praying this isn't a dupe)

How would it work?

You have to turn on a notification bell, that would allow you to receive these messages. (If you want to create more mockups or maybe enhance one of them feel free to)

• The bell would be off by default
  

• You have to be following them to turn on the bell
  

This would make it so if you wanted to invite all your followers at once, they have to have the notification bell on, but if you just invite them with their username, they wouldn't need to. This could also extend to if somebody would just like to send a message to their followers, but that can be a different post.

But what about the “What's Happening” page?

If you are following many people, and all of those users are active, they may see the message for only a few minutes. And also, not everyone always goes back to the homepage of scratch.

What is the purpose?

So people can stay up to date with you, and see your newest projects, without having to always check your profile everyday.

If you guys have any suggestions for this, be sure to say them and I may add them to the OP. Thanks for reading!!

Support, this could fix the problem, while it is useful, not everyone would receive it if they wouldn't want it, so this would be amazing.

This is a good idea, but the bell idea is a bit, I dunno, random? Why a bell which is the universal notification icon for just this ONE notification, it’s random, idk. Maybe instead of a bell icon a normal toggle in account settings?

True, I was just thinking of youtube, lol. Do you have any ideas that would maybe be related to scratch but also represents like a notification?

I really do like this idea. It's a good solution to a once annoying problem. It can be used for like “chatrooms” (even though you should use comments instead) or to show off projects.

Just made a mockup - I will try and use cupeupload for the first time!
