I already have known that for years, these are events I think but it seems off from what I looked up. I literally originally said that they were shiny when i was first typing this, but showed images instead to show the name and date and stuff since I thought people would say it might be this because it has a korean name or sth like that. I have talked about the shiny gyarados from hgss (that is why I showed both screens)

I mean my signature says I have been on the internet for 15 years and I stated I got my DSi in 2009….
Where did they come from though?? They seem to be events but I got suspicious when I saw both said 11/15/2017 (despite one being for VGE 19) and because the Korean OT that I found didn't match at all

Well I'm going to have to put descriptions alongside images LOL

pretty sure they're just hacked. looking at Bulbapedia's list of Pikachu events, SM and USUM didn't have any shiny Pikachu events (and in fact the latest Pikachu event for USUM was 2018). Gyarados is a similar deal, with the most recent event (up-to-and-including Generation VII) being in ORAS. the most confusing thing really is why they put in such a middle-ground amount of effort. like, they changed the met location (and possibly the OT name?) to make it seem more legitimate, but they didn't bother generating it on the correct date and the “event” it's from is - as best as i can tell - completely made up

edit: how did i miss Poképost Piplup?! easily in my top 5 penguin Pokémon

I might get an old console for cheap so I can play the classics. Plus the only thing good about the Nintendo Switch is their exclusives, otherwise I've tried my cousin's and it's hard to control as one of the joysticks is so up high, well tbh, I think PS4 is the best console.

you can get different controllers like the pro-controller (which is a traditional controller, although it still has the joystick and dpad swapped). there's probably 3rd-party controllers out there which are compatible with the Switch and have a layout more similar to other consoles. the Switch is underpowered compared to other consoles on the market but i personally think the exclusives absolutely justify it. i mean, part of that will just be that i grew up with Nintendo consoles but c'mon… Xenoblade!

i used one named apocalypse in my Professor Oak Challenge of Black
speaking of Pokédex completion, i actually managed to complete my Pokédex in the Gen 6 games yesterday! just in time before the servers shut down. still missing Genesect and Diancie, but 719/721 is good enough for me
