It would be really nice if in later versions of Scratch, the mouse down? block would be compatible with the trackpad. I am a trackpad user, and so right now I can only used the When This Sprite Clicked block to detect clicking.

It works for me; the trackpad I use is on a MacBook Air laptop.

In this context, mouse is being used to describe the cursor.

? For me, the trackpad works? Do you click the trackpad, just tapping it, or actually press it down? Mouse down requires you to actually press the trackpad down, while “when this sprite clicked” just requires you to tap the trackpad without actually pressing it down.
