New reporter.

This new reporter would look like this:
( return as () ::operators)

This block would report what's typed in there.

For example (if you want to make a workaround for the forever block, again):

repeat ( retun as ( infinity ) ::operators)

end

I didn't find anything in the Suggestions Directory, but I bet 1/1000000 of a cent this is a dupe (no chances)

I also will come up with a name, perhaps if the helps section for tips gets re-added people will understand it a bit better,

Interested concept - can you think of any example uses where you couldn't just type it in?

Actually you could do
switch costume to (report [previous costume]::operators)

Could it be called something else? I wonder if the term “report” would confuse some users into thinking this is related to the Report button used to notify the Scratch Team of inappropriate projects.

This is my forum signature! On a forum post, it is okay for Scratchers to advertise in their forum signature. The signature is the stuff that shows up below the horizontal line on the post. It will show up on every post I make.

I was a Scratch Team member from May 10th 2019 to October 29th 2021.

You can actually get the block in this project:

You could use a join block for this

The functionality for previous costume is a thing, though it hasn't been implemented for some reason (well, I mean the ability to select it without creating a costume)

I will.
I meant avoiding use of the word “report” altogether. Maybe “return” would be appropriate?

Ok, but other than not intended features such as the previous costume one, what's the point?

That has to be intentional, it used to not do that. Though it can be used for this too:
<touching [ v] ?>
<key [ v] pressed?>

Yea, me and the original poster stated that earlier. Though this can also be useful for other blocks as well:
