How long do reports take to review?

There's a really serious, illegal thing happening right now that I've been reporting, and by illegal, I mean kids CAN'T be exposed to this on a kid's site, but it's been several days and several kids have already seen it, but I've reported these things like every day, but they're still not down. I've even emailed ScratchTeam about it, but they're still up and exposing kids to very gross words.

I'm wondering if there's any way to get these projects/comments taken down faster because ST leaving them up is exposing more and more children to these adult topics.

I really hope ST does remove them, but they may not. One time, this bully was using bad language/being homophobic and I reported him, and I got my friends to report too, but his comments weren't deleted, nor were his projects, and emailing ST was a waste of time. So me and my friend tried an experiment, I made an account and bullied myself, then reported that account not only as myself, but used some alts and got my friend to report, too…after a few months, we realized ST isn't going to do anything, and I stopped bullying myself. The report button and emailing ST, I've noticed, only have a 50% chance that they'll work. Sometimes I feel like ST uses their time to ban people for no reason rather to deal with issues like the one you found.
I've seen a lot of other users going through the same problem, so the answer to the question it could be in a couple days, or never.

Report the comments, not the user.
Reporting the user is for something wrong on the profile.

(As for the main question, I don't really know the answer.)

please answer the question instead of venting. it depends on how active scratch is. during the summer it will take only a couple of days but right now with everybody on it takes maybe a week or so.

Sorry if I appear like I'm venting. I just wanted to point out, they hardly ever ban bad users.

Sometimes it's an accident, i've seen people false-banned for being ‘collab accounts’

I work in the group and know for a fact that lots of “bad users” are blocked daily. I'm sorry if you have counter-examples. I suggest in those cases that you use the Contact Us link (at the bottom of every page, too) to message the Scratch Team directly if a situation is not being resolved that you have reported with the Report buttons.

Thanks for the advice. I have tried before, though, and I didn't get a response.

In an attempt to answer the question: the last time I reported a project, it was a week or two before it was taken down.

The only way this can be done is if you contact the Scratch team somehow, and the only way this can be done is through their Scratch profile, Contact Us and Reporting. So if you have alrighty done that, all you can do is, without spamming of course, resend those messages.

I have contacted ST about a bad person and they didn't do much, so it doesn't always work. They did remove a few projects by this person, but there's one that hasn't been even though many people have reported it.

If you are still having issues after using the Report button - use the Contact Us link (at the bottom of every page, too) to message the Scratch Team directly. Or, if you already have an open issue email connection - you can respond to that. Bear in mind that the Scratch Team may have a different interpretation of the reported material than you do.
