Help i just died in my 101% steel soul save. I died in the stage after the no-floor part in the trial of the fool. This would be a tragedy if I hadn't backed up all my saves 2 months ago. But now i have a reason to replay the entire game.

Anyway, isn't it crazy that penguizn0 beat Soul Tyrant in 20 minutes with no upgrades?

did any of you ever search things up on your first playthrough? personally i refrained from googling things as i wanted to do a blind playthrough. i’d only search things up if i was completely stumped. then after i got the first ending, i freed myself from my self-bound chains and searched away.
Yeah. I always have a walkthrough for Metroidvanias because I'm always worried about doing things in the right order and playing the game right.

I like Mario, Kirby, Pokemon, Sonic, Zelda, Terraria, Yo-Kai Watch, Bug Fables, and Cassette Beasts.

I'm also working on a full blown game outside of Scratch (I just have ideas for now)

For Metroidvanias, I don’t think that that there is a playing the game wrong or doing things out of order. There is probably an intended order, but there are no wrong orders. Except if you manage to get in an area that you legitimately can’t get out of, like if you’re trapped because you hadn’t gotten an upgrade that lets you get out. If that’s the case it’s the designer’s fault for letting players do that. But I haven’t played a game where that happens. I think the experience is better if you figure out what to do by yourself.

Dang, this topic hasn't had a single post in over a year.

Hollow Knight's a pretty cool game. I'm currently in Deepnest, trying to get the dreamer there. I've never completed the game - I'm pretty bad… I was stuck on Soul Master for forever.

One of the best Spooky Dash players. Verified Blood Realm, a former Top 1.

I beat the Eternal Ordeal.
Also for my first full playthrough, I got over the whole “always need a walkthrough” and just wandered until I found things.
