Here's a basic to-do list with all that we have to do and about the due dates for them:

Choose Cabin Names/# of Cabins - April 15th, 2024
6 Cabins, possible genres: looking for suggestions!

Choose theme for next session - April 15th, 2024
Confirmed: Musical Instruments

Divide team between MB and Daily committee - April 20th, 2024
In the last session, the Daily Team fell short, and the MB did fall short too, but I think the Daily Team should be more prioritized here, so maybe more hosts are on the Daily Team this session? Also, I was thinking we do the same thing with the Writing Comp as last session, a host or two volunteers to be in charge of that, and then we'll open an application so any people participating in JWC this session can volunteer to be a judge!

Choose who will be posting Leader apps and Camper signups - April 15th, 2024

Decide if we will be (co)leading a cabin or acting as campers - Sometime before leader apps come out, closer to Jan, but if you already know whether or not, please tell everyone else ASAP so we can figure out other stuff <3

Make Main Cabin - Around October to November (Looking for someone to volunteer to do this, I can, but if anyone else wants to do it, please feel free to!) (reference from last session: 2024 MC

Post Leader apps - Sept. 26th (around that time) I can do this again because I'm not that good with camper sorting <3 (reference from last session~ Previous leader apps!

Choose Leaders - Oct. 26th-30th, please start judging apps when they are posted, more information about this will come out when the apps are posted!

Make Leader Forum - Immediately/Right before leaders are chosen, need volunteers! (I can do this) (Reference from last session by Iris <3 JWC 2024 leader forum

Post Camper apps - Dec. 1st, 2023

Start Camp - Jan. 1st, 2024

That's obviously not everything we have to do but it is a basic overview of some of the main things! Let me know if you can think of anything else that we'll need to do!

Feel free to also start chatting and things as well as planning; I know we know each other but it would also be nice to know some more things about each other! <3

Thanks to Piper for most of the stuff written here in the forum!

Also, if any of you have any new suggestions for JWC, I'm sure we'd all love to hear them! Here are some of my thoughts:

Camper sorting - I'd prefer not to do these or camper apps, I'm fine with anything else

What if we did a whole week of dailies + 1 weekly at the end of camp that matched our theme for the session?

Some ideas are Wonderland, Winter Wonderland, Masquerade, Seaside, Night sky, Nautical/Under the sea, Series based theme (PJO, The Hunger Games)

And maybe all the cabin genres are based off of the theme, if that's possible?

Cabin ideas, this session I think we should go a bit more funky if you get what I mean(?)
- Comedy
- Gothic
- Paranormal
- Culinary
- Biopunk
- Spy-fi
- Steampunk
- Action

Please finalize cabin + camp themes soon!

I definitely like the idea of doing a fandom theme. I do like the idea of doing unquie-themed cabins XD

Yep, like the SWC cabin and SRC I think, but the problem with those are that people who haven't read the series might feel left out <3 Do you have any specific themes that you'd like to suggest?

True. I think SRC is doing HP. Maybe KOTLC themed? Idk. We could also do it music theme, and have cabin subthemes be instruments XD (band nerd here XD)

A music theme sounds cool! I think out of all the themes, I believe under the sea or music is the best fitted! Are there any of the jobs that you'd like to do? (Daily team, MBC team, Writing Comp team, leader apps, camper apps, megathread, etc.)

I do like the idea of mbc team, as it’s one of the few things I’ve been apart of/helped/led in the past. However, I’d be up to trying anything!

my timezone is cst and i can do pretty much anything! if its alright with yall, id like to post camper signups and handle camper sorting :) it was actually pretty fun to do last session XD
for genres- i absolutely love the funky genre idea thing that sounds awesome
theme- sea or music sounds great! but what kind of music- genres, musicals, instruments, songs, etc?
i dont think ill (co)lead a cabin this session unless necessary because last session i just got too busy (and it didnt help when my school blocked scratch on our computers) and this way i can devote much more of my time to daily team, memory book, writing comp, camper sorting, etc- im good with helping out wherever and with whatever, just i would like to do camper signups :) <3

I'm definitely fine with you doing camper sorting because it seemed exhausting and you have experience, so win-win!

I'm cool with (Co)leading!, I'm good with being the main leader of MBC, I could do it!, and I think I'd rather help with the Daily Team, as I struggle to judge things sometimes

I like the idea of instruments! I love instruments (though the french horn is the best XD)

Alright, that sounds good, we just need some confirmation from Ris and Piper for their roles, but if Piper doesn't respond in a while, we'll just go with this for now!

Alright, so all we have to do is choose names for them, here are some ideas:

Comedy - Joker
Gothic - Vampire, Phantom ( I like phantom the most)
Spy-fi - Detective
Steampunk - Engineer
Action - Adventurer
Melodrama - Thespian, Trouper, Histrionic (I like Thespian or Histrionic the most)

Oooh, detective hehe. I like the idea of Phantom and Thespian
