When Al Pacino casually announced Oppenheimer without saying the nominees, I got so scared for his age

The nominees are opinionated, of course not everyone will think that Oppenheimer didn't deserve it. Same with The Boy and the Heron
And no, Oppenheimer deserved it by a long shot lol. Peak movie. Not sure about The Boy and the Heron though, I haven't even heard of that one
I heard about that. I regret not watching the whole thing :pensive: That John Cena part was very weird and amusing.

Apparently it wasn't him, it was all in the script.Yeah, I know, it was just really weird,He is 83 years old, I don't think he did it intentionallyAl Pacino not saying the nominees for Best Picture was weird and kind of insulting to the nominees. Agreed with everything. Adapted Screenplay, Original Screenplay, Best Sound, and Animated Feature were questionable, but I didn't watch them so I can't say.
Christopher Nolan is the goat now btw

…I don't think you're familiar with the Academy bud. Oppenheimer has a small chance for Sound, Visual Effects, maybe even Best Director. Barbie, Oppenheimer, and Across the Spider-Verse are definitely winning something. Maybe even Taika Waititi's new movie Next Goal Wins?

You tell me.How so? RDJ's acceptance was ridiculous
He received the award from Ke Huy Quan and didn't even acknowledge him or anyone else to the other side, quickly shook the hand of one guy, then made a “hilarious” speech.

Eh, I don’t mind the speech, it does seem like he brushed off quan tho. I think most of what he said was sarcastic, but that seemed unintentionally pretty rudeYou tell me.How so? RDJ's acceptance was ridiculous

Nah ok I give up making the Boom Awaerds bc ain't no way I'mma watch Poor Things in May 2024 so I'm gonna focus on next year's. This year looks like an incredible year for pop box office hits, and a terrible year for pretentious Oscar bait, so I'll probably be able to making some accurate predictions or awards since I'll likely actually watch and enjoy watching the movies. Here's a list of potential candidates and cool 2024 movies:
Dune Part 2 (watched)
Megalopolis
Civil War
Kingdom Of The Planet Of The Apes
Deadpool and Wolverine
Gladiator II
Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga
Joker: Folie à Deux
Monkey Man
Inside Out 2
Mufasa: The Lion King
A Quiet Place: Day One
Nosferatu
Despicable Me 4
Challengers
The Promised Land
The Beekeeper
Kung Fu Panda 4
Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire
