How often, if ever, do remixed projects get featured or become trending?

How often, if ever, do remixed projects get featured or become trending? I never personally seen remixed projects (excluding contests since those don’t count) ever become featured or trending. It’s probably possible but it seems exceedingly rare. This is because a lot of my projects are remixed versions of others, although I don’t really care if I ever get on trending. Instead, I just want to know what the likelyhood is or give any examples you know of.

It's rare, but never 0.

There was a remixed New Years' project that was featured a year or two ago. I seem to recall that there was a lot of controversy in it being featured, because many Scratchers felt that the original creator deserved the recognition more. Thankfully, in that specific case, the original creator seemed to be okay with the fact that a remix was featured.

I think this could explain why remixes are rarely featured — in general perhaps it's best to give this recognition to the original creator of the project.

Trending is also probably similar, although it's a little different because that is done algorithmically. My guess is that Scratchers who see a remix of the project would probably want to see the original project.

This is my forum signature! On a forum post, it is okay for Scratchers to advertise in their forum signature. The signature is the stuff that shows up below the horizontal line on the post. It will show up on every post I make.
