mezzo forte (means medium strong)

No, if you are using it not in a piano notational kind of way. I would recommend just saying “medium forte” if you are trying to explain ways in piano notations. (Is medium forte about how loud the piano is?)

If you are referring to the piano notation, it’s fine. Note that “mf” stands for “mezzo forte”, though, not “medium forte”.

actually working on a game so i'll be a bit less active on the forums

Honestly, it might be hard to tell the context for this one, particularly for the moderators who may not be musically inclined. I'd probably stick with saying the entirety of “mezzo forte” rather than its abbreviation. The sole exception would be if its abbreviation is displayed in sheet music; I think that would be okay.
