How to disconnect curve handles in the vector editor?

Hey guys!

I'm still fairly new to Scratch's vector editor. I know that using the reshape tool allows me to edit curves using handles, which is super helpful. It seems that by default, each point's handles are parallel (though they don't have to be the same distance from each other). However, on several occasions, I've noticed that the handles will “disconnect” from each other - that is, I can move one handle without it affecting the other. When the handles are disconnected, I'm able to maneuver curves into a point, which is different from setting the point type to “pointed”. It's pretty neat.

Unfortunately, I have no idea how to do it on purpose; every time the handles have disconnected like that, it's been an accident. I can't replicate it, nor can I reconnect the handles (make them parallel and dependent on each other again) once they're disconnected.

I figured there must be something I'm doing to trigger it. But for the life of me, I can't find anything that even mentions disconnected curve handles. I would greatly appreciate any help!

Also, I know people really hate duplicate posts, so I'm really sorry if this has already been asked somewhere. I tried to do research beforehand and was, as I said, unsuccessful. If an answer already exists, please forgive me and point me in the right direction!

Thank you very much!!

You know what, I just figured it out, lol Evidently, holding the alt key disconnects the handles!

I'd still love to know if there's a way to undo this (make them parallel again) without using Crtl+Z.

Select the point and click on “Curved” again.

For the love of everything, please snip quotes down to only the part you're responding to, it's painful to read excessively nested quotes.
Hey, I'm actually active in the forums again! Woo!
If a post is too long for you to read, link it on my profile and I'll do my best to paraphrase.
I have a pretty “3D” project
