I think the best solutions would be fixing the tag-spamming bug, making it more widely known that you can't make love and fave detectors to get in-game benefits, and fix the reshare bug.

blast some epic [system of a down v] riffs :: motion

I had a look at the homepage and I could only locate 3 platformers.

It's basically impossible to stop these generic platformer. Even if Scratch Team bans all generic platformers, there are still going to be people sharing more and more of them. If you see a generic platformer that you don't like, just ignore it. Newer Scratchers are still learning about Scratch and making these platformers gives them more experience.

Technically you could make the argument they count as spam as they take up tons of server space for no reason

I see this as OP asking what they could do to solve this. The things you list are not really anything that OP can do by themselves.

My solutions are either to ignore the Explore page entirely, or just to ignore the platformers. Keep scrolling until you find a project you do like.

that is not allowed. (and before you say removed the download to computer feature please note that I can still utilize scratch api to get the project because if scratch removes that the project won't run)

What I meant is that is how almost the same project shows up every time and it could just be people al coping a few projects.(It would be helpful if someone could find one of the first platformers.)

Yeah, most new scratchers make platformers because it's fun to add new designs, obstacles, and colors. Especially when you do none of the coding part lol. I don't see the problem, but them filling up the explore page is annoying tbh

Sure, but another method would be to let each scratcher post one and after 2 or 3 give them a warning and eventually ban the account.

I don't think banning them would be the best idea - most don't break the community guidelines.
