I've often seen that most scratchers besides a few select ones can't make smooth glide code. This severely inhibits the ability for younger scratchers to make smooth movement, especially for animations. That is why I'm presenting an idea; the motion speed curves seen in capcut, adobe, or any decent animation program. I even made a mockup block for it

Its not the absolute best, BUT it would be helpful for younger scratchers and even to create better control. Even if you CAN make smooth movement, it just becomes tedious and frustrating to try and adjust it. If this post happens to be popular, I'll make it more professional. I think artists, animators, and new scratchers alike would greatly benefit from this as they learn. Even then, this can't be used for everything, so scratchers still will have to innovate, design, and learn. It more of just gives a head start and a boost.

Check out @CapitanFluffy to see what I mean. I know my example wasn't the best lol, but its just a suggestion and probably won't be the format st implements if they do.

Great idea! This, in my opinion, could be very helpful for both experienced and beginner coders, as it is otherwise quite hard to make an actual, complex (as in more than just a straight line), smooth glide. It has my full support.

This would have more than just a straight line, it would include curves, bends, and other complicated movements.

(Sorry, I didn't see this post before) Yes, but this seems like a rather simple thing to create (for the ST), and it could really help (but not do it for them) beginners making simple projects (I have not even made simple projects, so I'm not looking down on beginners).

Have you ever gotten something like that before? Either way, I can't tell you how many times I've gotten that as a stubborn response from people and how many times I've had to explain that the reason that all of the blocks in Scratch are even there is not because they're “necessary”, they're there because they could open up possibilities and expand the creativity of users' projects. Note the word creativity.

I enjoy this block due to it making animation even smoother without 93294389324 costumes! I think there should be timestamps when editing the curves so its more easier to understand!
