225*2 = 450
164*2 = 328

450*328 = 147600
32*32 = 1024

147600/1024 = 144.14

can anybody tell me how to make a random chance of the terrain going either up or down, or making a random seed that it reads, or both?

I made a list that shows the terrain, but I think I made it harder because I made it go across instead of down for listing it. does this help with anything?

I have random ore generation done, but I want to know how to make random terrain generation.

what exactly do you need help with?

random generation, like, a smooth trend of up and down for hills and such. I have the blocks done, but I need random generation.

try this block

(pick random (...) to (...))

you could also set a specific height where everything below is caves or other stuff

how do I make the screen scroll down when you go down, to keep your guy centered on the y axes? what's the specific height that a sprite can't move down any further? and, HOW DO I MAKE A READABLE SEED??

ok, I just deleted everything to get a fresh start with some help. I have the following blocks:

# (air)
l (Leaves)
w (Wood)
g (Grass)
d (Dirt)
s (Stone)
c (Coal ore)
i (Iron ore)

have any code to help with generation and/or suggestions for listing blocks or blocks themselves?

could somebody help me make my game?

ok, so if you could, first list generation because after that, it would be really easy to make code to read the list and load the blocks. also, please make it read across instead of down, because it would be really hard to read and maybe harder to make code to read

help pls. please!
