If theyre gonna do something like this it should probably be a banner on the home page for a few days, and then go into the scratch news section

Sure, I don't see what could go wrong in writing a proper policy and announcement about this stuff. The rule on these detectors is vaguely enforced right now.

You are correct, but technically, they aren't? Because you don't actually have to heart + star to get these rewards… But for games that require for you to heart + star to start it even, I support the OP for that. Not for the ones that you heart + star for rewards, because of what I said above.

I suppose. Still though, wouldn't that would be the users fault, as technically, it isn't actually making them heart + star?

It is intended to make them heart and star. It doesn't matter that it doesn't succeed, it matters that it is intentionally malicious. People who lack that information are being exploit by love and fave it isn't their fault.

Bump because this is a serious issue for many projects, that the Scratch Team has said isn't allowed.

It should be a general announcement for not using loves faves or follows as a reward or rewarding someone for giving a love and fave.
