Hello leaders of the upcoming first session of Camp Astrophilia! This thread will give you the information you’ll need to plan and create your cabins and much more. Feel free to ask any questions if you need, I’ll try my best to explain everything. This is also a note that scratch camps run on an honor system, and although we cannot force you to leave, if you are participating in CA this session and have not been sent a link to this forum, it would be the right decision to make to close this tab and keep the surprises for later <3

Basics:
- CA doesn’t focus on one specific aspect like some other camps such as SWC, SRC or SAC. Campers and leaders alike can set multiple kinds of goals, max 3, to accomplish through the session. To make counting goals easier, there are a set list of goals they can choose from.
- Every session there is a overall session theme, and the cabins will be different based on that theme. This session is Fantastical Settings.
- Each cabin has only one leader, which means you will be in charge of the whole design and theme of the cabin, as well as keeping track of all the goal adding.
- If you will be busy during a certain time, please tell us hosts and the other leaders and see if anyone could possibly fill in.
- We’re still unsure about the flow of campers for the session for now, more updates to be released soon.

Cabins:
- Make sure you have at least one ‘main cabin’ for your cabin. If you would like, you can make a separate a goal count/adding studio to better organise everything.
- If you do wish to implement a cabin currency, make sure you’re actually going to reward the campers for it. Matching banners or pfp’s are always fun additions, but don’t set the requirements too high.
- Feel free to do in-cabin activities with your own cabin! It could help campers get more involved in the experience.

Memory book:
- Yes, there will be a memory book, along with a survey to collect camper feedback. Here are a few things that will be included:
+ Camper list for each cabin (a must!)
+ Most likely to’s based on cabin storyline
+ Covers to be decided by contest
Towards the end of the session, I will share a Canva project on this forum so you can start designing the slides for your cabin. Please keep in mind comment stipulations for the quote pages which will be shared on this forum as well.

Upcoming deadlines:
- Cabin atmosphere blurb + symbols are due March 2nd on Coral's profile!

The CA main cabin has already been made, and I'll get to inviting everyone soon. As for your own cabins, yes, you are making them
The blurbs are a short summary of your cabin's atmosphere, in around 200 characters (not words) to help campers get a better idea of how their experience in your cabin will be like.

I think they mean one of the options in the shop could be a shoutout in the yearbook, but that wouldn't work because every camper is already shouted out in the year book.
