Face Reveal in Profile Pictures

Lately I’ve seen a LOT of people with their face as their profile picture. If I’m correct, I remember that face reveals are not allowed on Scratch. I just wanted to clarify if this is still true, because if so I should probably report them. Thanks

This is correct, you are not allowed to make your face your profile picture. Report those when you see them.

I think they're reportable.

We have found these types of projects often lead to inappropriate or unhealthy comments. Due to these concerns, we have begun to remove these projects from the Scratch website.

Face Reveal in Profile Pictures

Face reveals have always been an iffy topic on Scratch. They used to only be allowed in two cases - in projects where your face isn't the main point of the project, and, as you're asking, your profile picture. However, in October 2021they stopped letting you set your profile picture as your face (src), meaning the former is the only place a face reveal is allowed. It is still strongly discouraged.

More information here.

You can report these if the face is very clear (i don’t think you can recognize anyone wearing black sunglasses, a black mask and a black hat) (i think)
And cartoonized images like griffpatch’s pfp is allowed, so is celebrities’ faces i think
