Yeah, I guess in this case, the writers could have still had it, but… More than meet, it'd be like “ ma look who I married!”

Anyone notice how Obi-Wan was 25 years old and content with being a Padawan, meanwhile, Anakin was 22 years old and had a seat on the High Council, yet still angry how he wasn't a Master?

Another thing:
Did you know that when Anakin was told to take a seat (when he was being offered a spot on the Council), he thought of killing Mace and taking his seat? He was furious that he wasn't granted the rank of Master and thought that Mace was jealous that he was no longer the youngest on the Council.
