So when do you guys think scratch 4.0 is officially coming out

Well, Scratch 4.0 is only coming out when JavaScript or HTML 5 dies… A lot of websites use them, they're not going to stop being used soon.
(Note: Scratch 3.0 was released because the 2.0 version used Flash, which had its EOL in 2020.)
(Note 2: The time gap between the Scratch versions is just a coincidence.)
Also, this is a pool post, meaning it depends on people's opinions, something not really suitable for the forums. You could use a project or studio instead.

It likely won't come out in 2025, as it's 2023 and they're still not done updating the 2.0 pages to 3.0!

The Scratch Team has no plans to make a 4.0, so it probably won't be released anytime soon!

Noone knows for sure.
Scratch 4.0 may never come.
Due to the fact that the ST can't really do anything more to make the site better for 2yr olds

The forums are called the discussion forums for a reason y'know?

Also there is no reason for Scratch 4 yet, it will likely come out when either of the following are true:
(unlikely) JavaScript and HTML 5 died out.
(likely) They wanted to make Scratch more powerful so used new technologies.

It's difficult to tell when JavaScript is going to die. So many people use JavaScript that there isn't really a definite end in sight. Sure, some people may dislike JavaScript, but the majority of these programmers most likely do love it; one day, it might even kind of take over the world, ruining the chances of Scratch 4.0 ever coming out.

Well they might make the 4.0 update if 3.0 becomes outdated

I think Scratch 4.0 will come out in 15/3/2025 (15th March 2025)
