its completely pointless like how would you even use that block in a project maybe a project about the days since 2000 but thats it there is no other uses for this block

No it would break so many projects

It does have uses, it can be used as a more accurate timer, and it always reports in UTC time.

dont see any reason to remove it, it would break a lot of things.

Scratch wouldn't add a block that has a single use case to begin with..

I believe it can be used to do some stuff regarding frame rates due to it being consistant with the entire internet

fun unrelated fact: it can also used to detect the exact Greenwich Mean Time at the current time as opposed to the normal time and date blocks which are locked to your timezone. (this can also be used for timezone detection)

The (days since 2000) block is the most reliable and accurate timekeeping method available on Scratch.
It's accurate even up to microseconds*, and refreshes faster than Scratch itself.
It's used by clock projects to display and measure milliseconds, and is used in countdowns as said above.
@fdreerf is disappointed.

*although the computer itself isn't fast enough to detect the passing of microseconds, and rounds up the number most of the time.

It's not completely pointless, it's incredibly useful for accurate timings and for synchronising in different time zones.

I suspect you probably need to learn how blocks are used before asking to remove blocks you don't understand.

No support. The “days since 2000” block is useful for multiple purposes, and removing this block would make the projects that use them useless.

Useless? its only useless if you use the block itself
it actually have many uses:

Timezones
Timing
High refresh timers
A temporary thing in a game
and other stuff
