Okay, if I were to launch a Japanese Wii game with the Priiloader “Region Free EVERYTHING!” hack, would the text be garbled? If so then I would just use my Japanese Wii. I prefer the disc channel over USB loaders because you need CIOS for a USB loader.

Welp, I'm back on the modding topic - so, a lot has happened since I was last on here. Larsen's out of riiconnect24, rii shop apparently exists, and more

Wait Larsen left? I also just found out that WiiLink merged with RiiConnect24, so over the weekend I'm going to format my Wii AGAIN and not copy to SD card this time. I'm going to actually move it with out leaving it on my Mac's memory. I mean they're going to retire the legacy RC24 sooner or later, so I'm getting the new patcher.

You don't need to format your Wii to uninstall RiiConnect24. You need to uninstall the wads and (somehow) erase the change to nwc24cfg.cfg (or whatever it's called).

I was testing what would happen if I formatted my nand on dolphin to see what happened.

That's an emulator, not a real Wii.
Trust me you do NOT want to brick your real Wii.

It's not programmed to only run on the Wii, it simply checks to make sure your user-agent is a Wii one and not anything else.
Your user-agent string can easily be spoofed, so it could also (in theory) work on a Windows browser.
