Hello ! I have a good idea for Scratch : when we receive a message in Scratch website, this can send us an e-mail with the message this can be very pratical no ?

So when someone comments on my profile or a project, I would get an email?

No-support because just imagine how full a famous Scratcher's e-mail inbox would get if they happen to get a lot of messages on Scratch (Like griffpatch for example)

god no. i would quit scratch if this was added.

Maybe if it was into one big email every day and it was toggleable and off by default. However, this is still a bad idea in general.

It shouldn't be togglable so users like @griffpatch don't get their inboxes spammed, but this isn't necessarily a bad idea. YouTube has a feature similar to this.

Support only if this was optional. This would be useful for contacting people who aren't very active on Scratch, but @griffpatch would get his emails flooded if it wasn't optional.

How about an “unsubscribe” button like most update emails have?

No support. This would clog everyone's email.

There is a chance that mail services will mark the email as spam
so this can have an issue

if you can visit the email website then you can also visit scratch to check your messages

I actually have a pretty big problem with this that was unaddressed by everybody above.

If someone sends you an inappropriate comment or a comment containing personal information, then the Scratch Team could delete it before you have the chance to see it. But if you then get an email for that comment, you will still end up seeing it even if the Scratch Team deletes the comment. After all, the Scratch Team doesn't have the ability to delete your emails.
