I'm thinking about modding my Wii U so that I can use services like Miiverse that I never got to try (I got my Wii U in 2019) and also mod my vWii so I have a backup in case my main Wii bricks completely.

also my Wii U's controller charger died, battery completely dead and my game hard drive has gotten formatted

do you have BootMii as boot2 on your main Wii?
if so then the only brick you need to worry about is the fabled dreaded low-level brick

Hey all, I have had a modded Wii U since 12/20/24 (Aroma) and have been playing it daily since. No really I play that thing more than my Switch now.

i have big no-no bad problem!1 maybe you can help but, my vwii doesn't detect mah usb flash drives! yes, i formatted it to fat32. yes, i tried putting it in different slots. and yes, i tired different drives

that's not good at all! I think you're only able to use one at once but I could be wrong. It might be that the flash drive isn't getting enough power, for vWii you might wanna use an external drive or open space on your SD card

As a final word of reccommendation, the Wii U can take storage up to 2TB, and this includes your SD card. You can't expand the Wii U's space with it, but the vWii on the other hand…

A nice big beefy SD should be able to hold your vWii games.
