Bans?
I wanted to know something about bans, are they more than likley to unban you after a year of being banned on scratch after contacting them?

Bans?
It likely doesn't make much of a difference. The Scratch Team takes the appropiate action regardless of how long it has been, so the only way it would make a difference would be if the ban lasted less than a year (which typically doesn't happen, normally it's permanent).

Bans?
If you are asking, upon getting banned, whether you are more likely to be unbanned if you send an appeal after 1 year versus 1 day, I'd say it is slightly more likely, although not very much. The point of a ban and the appeal is to let you think carefully about your behavior. If your appeal suggests that you have thought about your behavior well enough to the point where the Scratch Team can trust that you can remain a part of the community, then the appeal will go through. This will usually work regardless of when you send the appeal. But if you send it after a year, there is a slightly better chance that you have thought about your behavior for a longer period of time. Indeed, there are some cases where a Scratcher appeals a ban, and the Scratch Team's response is to ask the Scratcher to take a further break from Scratch and contact them again some time later. If you wait a year before sending your initial appeal, I would suspect (but cannot confirm) that the Scratch Team would not ask you to take a further break during the appeals process.
I think “permanent bans” are less likely than you think. Many “permanent bans” really mean “permanent ban with the option to appeal” — in which case the ban isn't actually permanent, because you can send an appeal to get unbanned. The process usually takes a month or so. It likely doesn't make much of a difference.
