Animation in Scratch

Why do we need animation in scratch?
—————————————————————————
As you know we have loads of artists here on scatch.
Most of us want to animate too! Right now animating is quite hard.
We have to import every single frame, find out how many frames per second (FPS)
etc. And if you've animated you'll know its a tough process and its SO tiring.

TO CONCLUDE I would like to say animation in scratch would make scratch
a more cohesive community.

Thanks for reading <3

You can make a gif, it’ll import every frame, and you just have to use the fps you used for the gif

Yes I understand, but in scratch finding the fps would take around 30 mins (for most people), That's why animating directly into scratch would be easier…

Hope you understand…

Occasional animator speaking how can I help you

Isn't finding the FPS as simple as getting the number of frames and dividing by the total duration of the animation? Many animation software will tell you the total duration (or at least I know Adobe Animate and Krita do).

Also, do you have specific suggestions on what to add? Bringing animation to Scratch seems a little broad

But how does it work? Bringing the entirety of FlipaClip into Scratch?

What exactly are you suggesting? Technically, you can already animate.

you don’t need an gif to animate
you can just do simple stuff as chitchat
or even movement via motion blocks
