Make finding ways to make more money top priority

Okay, but a higher priority need not be a #1 priority. I suggest that you change the wording of your suggestion to reflect that — as well as update the OP with ideas on how to find that funding, just so the Scratch Team has some ideas on what to do.

No, both moderation and website maintenance should be prioritized over this, otherwise Scratch can't really function very well. I'm sure there are a few other things to be prioritized over funding, as well — but I don't know of everything.

The scratch team themselves will have better ideas on how to make more money than we do, since they kinda run the site yk

all of which they already implement.

What if they start charging for things like support with the scratch-blocks library, integrating it in schools and so on?

In my opinion, it's:

Moderation
Maintenance
Funding
Development

All of these are important, but I think moderation should always come first on a coding website for kids. Maintenance is a very close second, but I'd prefer it if there was tight moderation with a bit of server issues, as opposed to incredibly stable servers with moderation issues. Then funding is incredibly important. Development is important as well, but this isn't possible without funding.

I know. I actually put a pretty fair amount of thought into it, but I couldn't really think of anything because we honestly don't know much else about what they do. I thought about “hiring more ST members” but I thought it was pretty vague and could fall under moderation or maintenance, depending on the role of the ST member.

Id say bug fixes fall under server maintenance, and marketing falls under funding.

I disagree. Funding is about raising money, but marketing is more about finding ways to make the site appeal more to its target audience (children who want to learn to code). It's a bit of a strange term to use here, since Scratch accounts aren't products you buy, but that's how the word marketing is being used in that post.

As for number 2, I understand what you are saying

not sure about the US, but here in the UK i'd say 90% of 12 year olds (biggest age group) will have a debit card that their parents don't really care what they do with
