I have been having an issue with Necroposting due to some bug that makes old topics go to the first page. I want to suggest that a date when it was made to the left of the Title. It would look something like this:
12/12/2023 - ExampleTitle by ExampleUser
or
December 12, 2023 - ExampleTItle by ExampleUser.

You could also do this:
November 12, 2023 - ExampleTitle by ExampleUser
11/12/2023 - ExampleTitle by ExampleUser

Most users find said posts through googling, which sadly makes it tough to fight necroposts.

I think that the date should be in red if it hasn't been posted on in a month, and is in a subforum other than Suggestions, TIMAC, or TIRAP. If the original poster is the one who bumps it up after a long time, the red will be removed as it's not a necropost.

Honestly I'm surprised they don't already have this. There are a lot of times I've nearly necroposted on accident so this would be a feature I would definitely like to have

Most people find posts from Google and Ocular, so this may not be that effective but anyway. Lots of people necropost. In QaS, I saw a post at the top which was from 6 years ago. It was answered, and the person who brought it up asked another question, different from the topic. This is quite annoying and common.

I still think that it should show the date in forums with “no necroposting”, like Suggestions. There's no point in not implementing it for forums like it.

Also, posting on an old suggestion that's, for instance, rejected, is still considered “necroposting” despite the fact that it is a suggestion.

I think that's a fair idea. Why not we combine ideas? I think that the date should be in red if it hasn't been posted on in a month, and is in a subforum other than Suggestions, TIMAC, or TIRAP. However, the date will never appear in red if the topic is one of the following: Announcements (for obvious reasons), Suggestions, TIMAC, TIRAP.

Additionally, I think dates should not appear in red if the topic is closed. Once the topic is reopened, it'll reset the time and turn red in one month.

That's fair, except for one point: why would the time reset if it was randomly reopened for some reason, as bumping it would still be a necropost?

If a topic is incredibly active, then gets closed, then reopened, users might feel like they can't continue the discussion. We have to start over as if the conversation is just a continuation, picking back up where it left off. That's why I suggested a reset.

I bet the layout would become very cluttered if you were to include dates right next to topic titles/authors, so adding an extra column to the right would be good.

Although, as GlitchedThrough said, most people Google questions on Scratch and visit topics from there, so it might not help that much necropost wise. Maybe show the date on the search result as well?

Support, I almost posted on a topic that was created in 2014 because some other Scrather decided to necropost and this would prevent that from happening to most Scratchers.
