I think there should be a page where based on your favourite projects that similar projects are shown which the user may like. Etc if somebody liked rap music then projects based about Drake, Nicki Minaj etc are the recommedations for that particular user.
well that's all I could think of…

No support, sorry. The algorithm would be too hard and most of the time it would go wrong. Oh well, it was worth a shot.
I can see why it would be too hard to do. Maybe next time.

Just some simple tag tree stuff would work decently probably. For example if I love a project with the tags “water” , “simulation” , “pen” then I will get projects that have the followingNo support, sorry. it's not that simple. it would be like searching each tag from every project you've loved and making sure that no new project searched was not already loved by you, nor made by youJust some simple tag tree stuff would work decently probably. The featured page is definitely not enough, and constantly having to put your new project in hundreds of Studios just for the possibility of people seeing it is not fun.
The best option would simply be having projects related to the one you're currently playing appear next to it, in the space when remix' usually are.
Kinda like how youtube recommends videos related to the one you're watching.
It would be a great improvement to the site, as right now we have to manually search for a project to see it, and if we don't know a project exist, we will never find it. That's why only a handful of projects or projects related to popular franchises like Star Wars or Frozen get people playing them.
It gets really sad and frustrating for others, and makes it less fun to use Scratch (I know this, because my sister got really emotional lately when I visited her profile and noticed that she had no likes outside of me and my brother. It was sad and there was nothing I could do about it)
I feel like it's a thing the Scratch team should really work on
It would massively improve the website
It would decrease the amount of self-advertising, since there will finally be a real chance of your project getting rightfully recognized by others
It would make it easier to find fun games and more niche projects that don't reference popular trends will also have a way of getting to the right people
It would make the Scratch experience better both for the people browsing it, and Scratchers wanting to share their creations
Please Scratch Team. Please see this, it's really important to me
It just feels bad when you feel like your project didn't get recognition just because
It's hard to find cool projects when you have to manually look for them or hope one appears in some Studio you're in
Please. It's important

Recommendation systems are some of the hardest things to program just due to the nature of making one. So, I don't know if Scratch would be willing to create a feature like this as it would take a lot of development.

Yeah, Scratch Team resources and time are completely on the level of YT.YouTube algorithm Recommendation systems are some of the hardest things to program just due to the nature of making one. They could introduce a simpler system. For example, we could use 3 tags for our project. The tags could specify the type of project (Announcement, Game, Animation, Story, Tutorial), things related to it (Star Wars, Among Us, Fnaf, Lord Of The Rings, Books, Harry Potter etc.)
It could then randomly select projects with one or more tags matching the tags of the project you're currently playing.
It would be really cool. I'm not expecting something as sophisticated as the Youtube algorithm, just a way to allow for easier browsing through other, similar projects.

I still think it would be incredibly tough. “People who loved this project you recently loved also loved XXX!” and then imagine applying that to a bunch of projects you recently loved..

YouTube doesn’t want to share their algorithm with anybody except the devs, so why would they do it with Scratch?YouTube algorithm Recommendation systems are some of the hardest things to program just due to the nature of making one. I've always felt like some kind of recommendation system was lacking from Scratch, though considering how difficult it would be to program I'm not sure what to replace it with. “Other projects in studios that this project is in”? …That might actually work.
