Well we have been waiting for the client and server code to be open-sourced for over a year now

oh its going to be chaos. i'm starting to like version 1.8 so much more now because of how simple it is compared to now.

That's what I really like from Minecraft, you can just play the older versions.

I don’t see an advantage to using Typescript for anything, it’s basically Javascript but statically typed.

Static typing is good for large codebases, such as MinecraftTS's, assumably

Almost every version is downgradable, even PE for iOS!

Almost every version is downgradable, even PE for iOS!

true, but only java has it in the vanilla launcher, all other versions need external tools.

The game itself is being rewritten in TS. IDK if there's a launcher
